Abstrakt
Katowice gościły Zjazd Fizyków Polskich już trzykrotnie: w 1963, 1975 i 1997 roku. Po latach przerwy fizycy ponownie zawitali do tego miasta. Od 5 do 11 września 2025 r. Uniwersytet Śląski gościł 49. Zjazd Fizyków Polskich, pokazując, jak silna i twórcza jest społeczność polskich fizyków. Był to tydzień pełen nauki, wymiany doświadczeń i inspiracji. Wydarzenie organizowane wspólnie przez Polskie Towarzystwo Fizyczne (PTF) i Uniwersytet Śląski w Katowicach zgromadziło szerokie grono naukowców, nauczycieli, studentów oraz entuzjastów nauki – zarejestrowano 370 uczestników, a dzięki otwartym wykładom dla szkół udział wzięło łącznie ponad 600 osób. Kongres oficjalnie stał się jednym z wydarzeń Międzynarodowego Roku Nauki i Technologii Kwantowej 2025, co nadawało mu szczególną rangę. Poniżej przedstawiamy przebieg Zjazdu, dzień po dniu, zgodnie z programem konferencji.
Abstract
Katowice have hosted the Congress of Polish Physicists three times already: in 1963, 1975, and 1997. After years of hiatus, physicists returned to the city once again. From 5 to 11 September 2025, the University of Silesia hosted the 49th Congress of Polish Physicists, demonstrating how strong and creative the Polish physics community is. It was a week full of science, the exchange of experience, and inspiration. The event, jointly organized by the Polish Physical Society (PTF) and the University of Silesia in Katowice - brought together a broad group of scientists, teachers, students, and science enthusiasts: 370 participants registered, and thanks to open lectures for schools, more than 600 people took part in total. The congress was officially recognized as one of the events of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology 2025, which gave it special prestige. Below we present the course of the Congress, day by day, in line with the conference program.
