Instytutu Fizyki Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego wraz z Zielonogórskim Oddziałem PTF zapraszają na dwa wykłady, które odbędą się 27 maja 2026 roku o godz. 12:00 w sali 106, bud. A-29 (I piętro) w Instytucie Fizyki Uniwersytetu Zielonogórskiego, ul. Prof. Z. Szafrana 4a. Pierwszy wykład pt. "Active magneto-mechanical metamaterial" wygłosi Jai Dunne z Manchester Metropolitan University. Drugi wykład pt. "Molecular and micro-scale metamaterials" wygłosi Bohan Li z Harbin Institute of Technology.
Streszczenie - "Active magneto-mechanical metamaterial"
Active mechanical metamaterials are a class of structures whose mechanical properties can be controlled via changes in external stimuli such as a magnetic field. In this presentation, it will be demonstrated that the behavior of a specific magneto-mechanical metamaterial can be actively controlled through changes in the external magnetic field. It will also be shown that the proposed metamaterial and its unique behavior have great potential for applications in soft robotics.
Streszczenie - "Molecular and micro-scale metamaterials"
In the first part of the presentation, the concept of thermal conductivity in multilayer graphene subjected to mechanical deformation will be discussed. In the second part of the presentation, a novel 3D mechanical metamaterial will be discussed from the perspective of its unusual static mechanical properties.
